(2) Uda River Cherry Blossom Trail

The first Hanami spot! Our Nara Sakura Tour starts here! Along the Uda River, a line of cherry blossoms stretches approximately 2.5 km. With few buildings nearby, the cherry trees stand out beautifully against the green backdrop of the mountains, forests and farmland.

(3) Matabei Zakura (300-year-old cherry tree)

The greatest star of our Nara Sakura Tour! And a very unique hanami sport!: a magnificent weeping cherry tree said to be 300 years old.
Back in the Warring States period of Japan, there was a prominent warlord called Goto Matabei, who fled to this area, and built a residence for his family here. Because this Sakura tree is within the area where the Goto family used to be, people call the tree affectionately “Matabei Zakura”.

(4) Foot Bath at Community Hub

After so much exercise, this is the best place to soothe our tired feet.
In this community hub, you will also find unique goods only Japan's countryside can offer. A great chance to get souvenirs no one else will have!

(5) Nostalgic Townscape: Strolling Through the Traditional Houses of Uda Matsuyama

The nostalgic scenery makes us feel like we have travelled back in time to ancient Japan.
This area flourished as the castle town and it has been recently designated as Traditional building preservation district.
