Born and raised in a border town between Osaka and Nara, Eshi’s connection to Nara began in early childhood, with frequent family excursions to Nara Park to play among the deer. His passion for travel blossomed young—while other kids asked for toys, Eshi asked for travel guidebooks. He’s been crafting travel itineraries for himself and others ever since.
With over 24 years of experience in the travel industry, Eshi has journeyed across the globe, always seeking out local guides and meaningful interactions with the people he meets. Fluent in both English and Japanese, he brings a deep appreciation for cultural exchange and a heartfelt desire to share the beauty of Nara and the warmth of its people with the world.
Originally from Argentina, Kura is a trilingual cultural bridge fluent in Japanese, Spanish, and English. A passionate reader of Japanese literature, his home is surrounded by shelves of Japanese books—a reflection of his deep admiration for the culture. After moving to Japan, he found his heart in Nara, where he now lives.
Kura has worked with a variety of Japanese companies and organizations, and has represented Japanese history and culture at conventions and festivals around the world. His mission is to help others discover the richness of Japan through authentic, immersive experiences—starting with the place he loves most: Nara.
