We provide guided tours in Nara for international visitors to Japan. Our walking tours include the Deer Park, the Big Buddha Hall, Kasuga Taisha Shrine as well as hidden gems inside Nara prefecture. We also offer taylor-made private tours.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, all tour prices and quotations are in United States Dollars (USD).
Prices include:
(i) the standard entrance/admission fees for attractions, temples, parks, and museums specifically listed in your itinerary
(ii) only those taxes we are legally required to collect and remit for your booking (“Applicable Taxes”).
Unless your itinerary states they are included, the following are not included and are payable by you: optional activities operated by third parties, premium or skip‑the‑line admissions, souvenir/photo fees, visa/immigration charges, and guide/driver gratuities. Certain municipalities may impose per‑guest tourism/occupancy levies that are collected locally by venues or authorities; where we are not required to collect such levies, they remain your responsibility.
We accept payment by card. Charges are processed in USD unless we clearly indicate another currency at checkout. Your card issuer may apply currency‑conversion rates, cross‑border/foreign transaction fees, or other processing charges that we do not control; such amounts are your responsibility.
Any taxes or levies shown on a quote are for convenience only. Actual amounts may be determined by the applicable authority or venue on the tour date and can vary by date, location, or group size. We will disclose any known mandatory fees before you finalize your booking.
Where we display a price as “tax‑inclusive,” this refers only to Applicable Taxes we are obligated to collect; it does not include any charges imposed by your card issuer, your bank, or any third‑party operators not listed as included in your itinerary.

- Cash (for in-person bookings only, and in Japanese yen (JPY) only. Tour price would be converted from USD to JPY using a current foreign exchange rate at the time of payment.)
- Digital payment platforms (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay)
A full payment is required at the time of booking.
Upon successful booking, you will receive a confirmation email or message containing:
- Your unique reservation number
- Tour details and meeting information
- Invoice
- Terms and conditions
Tour Conditions
Tour schedules, routes, and activities are subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions, temple or shrine closures, safety reasons, or other operational requirements. We reserve the right to modify or cancel tours at our discretion to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.
Tour Guide Illness or Unavailability
If a scheduled tour guide becomes ill or unavailable, we will make every effort to provide a qualified substitute guide. If no substitute is available, we will offer you the following options:
- Reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost
- Full refund of all payments made
Weather-Related Cancellations
Tours may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions that pose safety risks, including but not limited to thunderstorms, snow, ice, or extreme temperatures. In such cases, you will be offered:
- Rescheduling to the next available date with favorable weather
- Full refund of all payments
Force Majeure
We reserve the right to cancel tours due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events. Full refunds will be provided for cancellations due to force majeure.
All cancellation fees are calculated based on Japan Standard Time (JST). Refunds, minus applicable cancellation fees, will be processed using your original form of payment within 5-10 business days. In some cases, it may take up to two billing cycles for the refund to be fully processed and appear on the statement.
Until 11 Days Before: Free cancellation (no fee)
10 to 8 Days Before: 20% cancellation fee
7 to 2 Days Before: 30% cancellation fee
1 Day Before:50% cancellation fee
On the Day of the Tour or No Show: 100% cancellation fee (no refund)
To cancel a tour, use the dedicated cancellation link in your booking confirmation email. Unfortunately, cancellations made via email or directly with the third party tour provider cannot be processed on www.tour2nara.com. Please contact directly to the tour operator who booked your tour.
